The picture book for children 'Millie' is written in Doric by Sheena Blackhall and can now be heard on a website full of resources relating to the book. Listeners can hear the story in Scots and a range of other languages. The website also contains examples of other 'Millie'-related audio or video material produced by schools.
'Millie' is the fourth commercial publication from Reading Bus Press and follows the huge success of ‘Fit Like, Yer Majesty?’, ‘Nae Bad Ava!’ and ‘Fit’s for Supper?’. All profits generated from the books are reinvested in The Reading Bus initiative. Millie retails at £5.99.
